ATRiuM GP Clinic will no longer see students

The visiting GP clinic at the Atrium has been discontinued. Students who are currently registered with Llanederyn Surgery will be asked to register with a different GP clinic in Cardiff.

Returning Students

If you have previously been registered with the GP service at the campus (Llanederyn Surgery), you should register with an alternative GP surgery. You will receive a letter telling you that you will no longer be able to access the GP service at Llanederyn Surgery.

Please use your postcode to find the nearest surgery to where you are going to be living during 2017-18. Contact your chosen GP surgery to request to register with them as soon as possible.

You will be asked for your NHS number (this can be found on your medical card or a repeat medication prescription or any hospital letters you may have received), proof of identity, and a Utility bill with your new address on. First year students living in Cardiff

It is important that you register with a GP as soon as possible after arriving at University. Please do not leave it until you are too unwell to do it. Please use your postcode to find the nearest GP surgery to where you are living during 2017-18.

Common Ailment Service at your local pharmacy

This is a new service offered at most pharmacies in Cardiff. To access this service, you need to be registered with a Welsh GP.

You can get advice and treatment for some common ailments free of charge from the pharmacist. Example ailments include acne, diarrhoea, sore throat, cold sores, backache, thrush, skin problems, indigestion, mouth ulcers plus many more.

Staying in Treforest?

Students living in Treforest but studying at the Atrium campus can access health care from the Treforest Health centre.
